How Does the Dumpster Rental Process Work?
Our rental service is a lot like other rental enterprises. It all starts with a phone call. When you call 319-382-3433 you will be put in touch with one of our service representatives. They are your point of contact for your order. Before you get down to brass tax, they’ll ask you for some basic information, such as your location within the Cedar Rapids area and what kind of project you are working on. That last question will help us determine the type of dumpster that will work best for your debris type/line of work. Of course, if you already have a dumpster size in mind, just let them know and they’ll jump right to getting you a quote.
Quoting a dumpster rental is based on the type of debris being disposed of, as well as the size of the roll off dumpster. Typically, household debris and construction waste must be taken to separate landfills and facilities, which results in different disposal costs for each debris type. Mixing these wastes together can result in additional fees in order to cover the cost of sorting out and disposing of everything properly. That’s why it’s important to specify what kind of debris you are throwing out, especially if you have both household junk and construction debris waiting to be carted off.
Once we have established the type of debris you have, the next step is to select a size. There are 4 main sizes that are ideal for a number of different projects. Our smallest size, the 15 yarder is great for things like household cleanups or disposing of assorted remodeling debris. The largest size we offer, the 40 yard dumpster, is great for large construction projects or any big or bulky debris. If you aren’t sure which size will work best, just ask our service representative for their recommendation, they’ve been selling dumpsters long enough to know which is best for certain trashy situations.
After that, it’s just a matter of scheduling the dumpster delivery. Unless a customer specifies a later date, we’ll go ahead and add the dumpster to our delivery schedule for the next available business day. Generally, we can have orders scheduled for delivery on the following day, but if the route fills up ahead of time we’ll simply move the delivery to the next day. In either case, we’ll let you know at the time of the order when you can expect your dumpster.
